1. Who we are
Pace Yourself Online LLC ("we", "us") operates TrueFile and acts as the data controller for personal information processed through the Service.
2. What we collect
- Account data: name, email, firm name, state, metro region, login credentials.
- Service inputs: P&L data, file volumes, BPO inputs, and other figures you enter or upload.
- Usage data: pages viewed, features used, calculation history, device and browser type, IP address.
- Support communications: messages and attachments you send us.
- Payment data: handled by Paddle (see Section 4); we receive only subscription status, plan, and billing metadata — never full card numbers.
3. Why we use it
- To create and operate your account (legal basis: contract).
- To provide cost and BPO calculations (contract).
- To prevent fraud, abuse, and secure the Service (legitimate interests).
- To improve the product through aggregate analytics (legitimate interests).
- To send transactional emails (contract) and, with your consent, product updates.
- To comply with legal obligations (legal obligation).
4. Who we share with
- Paddle.com Market Limited — our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles checkout, payments, tax compliance, invoicing, and subscription management.
- Hosting & infrastructure providers — for application hosting, database, and file storage.
- Analytics & error monitoring providers — to operate and improve the Service.
- Email delivery providers — for transactional and account emails.
- Professional advisers — legal and accounting, where necessary.
- Authorities — when required by law or valid legal process.
We do not sell personal information.
5. Retention
We keep account and Service data for as long as your account is active. After cancellation, data is retained for up to 90 days to allow reactivation, then deleted or anonymized, except where longer retention is required for legal, tax, or accounting obligations.
6. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate data;
- Delete your data ("right to erasure");
- Restrict or object to certain processing;
- Receive your data in a portable format;
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

7. Security
We use appropriate technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls, and database row-level security, to protect your data. No system is 100% secure; we will notify you of incidents affecting your data as required by law.
8. International transfers
Your data may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. Where applicable, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or other lawful transfer mechanisms.
9. Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We may use limited analytics cookies to understand how the Service is used. You can manage cookie preferences in your browser; disabling essential cookies may break sign-in.
10. Children
TrueFile is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
11. Changes
We may update this notice. Material changes will be communicated by email or in-app notice.
